1. In general, the scientific quarterly journal of Fundamental and Applied Studies of the Islamic World evaluates articles that are in the field of the Islamic world. Studies of the Islamic world include the fields of future research of the Islamic world, geopolitics and geostrategy of the Islamic world, political sociology of the Islamic world, science and technology of the Islamic world, environment and vital resources of the Islamic world, international relations and political science of the Islamic world, strategic sciences of the Islamic world, and other relevant fields and branches. Generally, all issues related to the Islamic world can be reviewed in the editorial board of this quarterly.
Articles must be a study and the result of the research work of the author or authors and must necessarily lead to the production of new knowledge and results. The quarterly welcomes articles extracted from doctoral dissertations, M.A. theses, as well as independent research projects if they contain research principles and methods in the field.
2. Papers extracted from students’ dissertations will be published with higher priority under the names of their supervisor, student, and counselors.
3. A research article necessarily has the following structural components:
abstract (maximum 250 words) in Persian and extended English abstract (exact translation), keywords, theoretical and explanatory introduction, research method, research findings, analysis, conclusions, appreciation of ethical endorsements, conflict of interest, authors' contribution to the article, funding/sponsorships resource list, and references list. Adherence to this structure is essential.
4. Submitted articles must have an extended abstract edited in English up to a maximum of 800 words and include the following sections:
Introduction, Methodology, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, keyword
5. The journal welcomes theoretical articles that develop or present scientific theories as well as the scholarly critique of existing theories by eminent professors and experts.
6. Articles must not be submitted or published in another journal at the time of submission to this institute’s journal. It is necessary to send a written letter of commitment from the author in this regard along with the article. Papers of scientific conferences can be reviewed provided that they are accompanied by significant changes and the addition of new material.
7. Articles in Persian are acceptable.
8. For articles with more than one author, an author must be identified as the author responsible for correspondence. Otherwise, the first person will be known as the author responsible for correspondence.
9. Articles should be submitted in Blotus font with a font size of 13, line spacing of 1, and containing about 5000 to 8000 words. They have to be sent through the journal’s website at http://journal.iiwfs.com.

APA style of citation is used in this journal. Thus, references in the article itself need in brackets the author's last name, year of publication, and the pages used for instance (Fox, 1995, pp. 212-5), in the bibliography, the author's last name followed by his first name, followed by the year of publication in bracket followed by the title of the book, followed by the place of publication and the publication itself, must be indicated for instance: Allen, Lindsay. (2005), the Persian Empire. London: British Museum Press.
The citation method in the article must be in APA style and in English. The sources cited in the text must be with the author's last name, year of publication, and page number in parentheses such as (Mir-haydar,2007:22). The style of writing the details of Persian references must also be presented at the end of the article in alphabetical order according to the following examples. Accurate translation of Persian titles into English is essential and the phrase [In Persian] must be added to the end of such sources:
Book: Last Name, First Name of author(s) or translator(s) (year of publication). Book title, Place of publication, Publisher, the corresponding DOI.

The Internet: Last Name, First Name of author(s) (year of publication or access). Title of the work, site/ site ID, the corresponding DOI.
11. In arranging tables, diagrams, and figures, it is necessary to observe the following points:
A) The information in the tables must not be repeated in the form of figures or diagrams in the article. The number and title of the tables must be mentioned at the top and the number and title of the maps, shapes, and diagrams must be mentioned at the bottom. In case they are obtained from other sources, the source must be mentioned below them.
B) Each column of the table must have its own title and unit. If all the numbers in the table have the same unit, the unit can be mentioned in the title of the table.
C) Images and maps must be clear, readable, scaled, and of appropriate quality.
12. As much as possible, mention the DOI of the electronic resources at the end of its corresponding line.
Example:
Last Name, First Name of author(s) (year of publication). Article title, Journal name, Journal number. (Doi: 10.1000 / 182).
13. The received articles will undergo the process of scientific judgment after the initial review, and the final decision on whether to accept or reject it will be made by the editorial board.
14. The quarterly reserves the right to reject, accept, or edit articles and is exempt from returning received articles.
15. The responsibility for the accuracy of the contents of the article is legally to the owner or owners of the article.
